I’ve worked many times with Chris over the years due to unfortunate situations in different homes with mold. He’s very friendly, honest, and professional. Turns out he’s also the go to guy for my functional medicine doctor who deals with patients suffering from bio-toxin / Mold illnesses. Highly recommend.
Great experience with Chris! Due to a cancellation he was able to come by shortly after I first reached out to him. He explained all of his pricing and timing before he arrived. He was professional and thorough in assessing the situation and taking testing. He forwarded me the report as soon as it came back from the lab, and then called to discuss the findings. It was fast, easy and thorough.

Comments: They did Mold & Asbestos testing for me, for a building I’m in the process of purchasing. They’re fantastic. It’s an older building so I was worried about the environmental concerns, especially since I’m planning on remodeling. They use state of the art equipment. They were on time, thorough & walked me through everything step by step & really gave me piece of mind. I know how the process is going to go at each step – what they’ll do & where I’ll be able to be in the building during the work, etc. They really did a fantastic job of putting my mind at ease.

Project: Test for Toxic Materials & Mold (Dominion Freight)
Comments: Chris was incredibly responsive, thorough, and easy to schedule an appointment with. All it took was one quick call to schedule my inspection two days later for 9am. He gave me the cost estimate over the phone in advance and asked a number of questions to get an understanding of the building it’s in. Chris showed up early to our appointment. He then walked us through all the areas of the building, explained what he was doing, and gave us a very clear understanding of any items he found (as well as what any issues might do long-term and how we might fix them). He answered any questions we had and made sure we were very comfortable with our understanding of everything in the apartment. I received Chris’s report one business day later and it was amazingly thorough, with very well-written explanations of the different areas he inspected and the items he found. Would DEFINITELY use Chris again for any future Environmental inspections, and I highly recommend him!

The Process: Chris personally answered our call within a couple of rings (better than the 4 other places I tried and got voice mail), fully explained his approach, verified that his family has been licensed and in business in the area for 3 generations, and generally could not have been nicer and more professional (I liked his website as well.) He was able to book our inspection in a matter of days (which is great when you’re anxious), was early to the appointment, and had already started taking pictures and evaluating the exterior before we arrived. Before we got into the inspection together, he recapped his approach and how the process would work, then during the appointment, carefully explained everything along the way: how things worked, what was good, and what was pause for concern. He was patient with all our random questions, made us feel confident and informed vs. freaked out, and delivered a 40 page report to us and our legal representation in less than 24 hours complete with full detail, photographs, recommendations and referrals for next steps just as he described to us in person. Finally, our realtor, who is one of the top volume guys in the Hoboken/Weehawken area literally said, “19 out of 20 home inspectors aren’t going to find the stuff Chris found for you today.” I think that summed it up pretty well. We can’t wait to recommend him to friends.”

“I had Chris inspect two properties for me, and both times he was punctual, courteous, and very thorough. He took his time and explained every potential issue that he found to me in great detail, and he was willing and able to answer any questions that I had. Most importantly, he comes across as an honest, trustworthy, capable person, which are exactly the qualities I’m looking for in a commercial building inspector (or any contractor, for that matter).
I loved the first property that Chris inspected for me but he found a bunch of major problems with it that I had overlooked, including severe foundation issues. He was careful to truly impress upon me the severity of these problems and based on his findings I decided not to buy the property. Looking back, I’m incredibly happy and relieved that I didn’t go through with that purchase and I feel like I have Chris to thank for that.
The second property inspection went much better, thankfully, and Chris was just as professional and thorough as he was the first time. In the same way that I trusted his negative assessment then, I trust his positive assessment now. I am much more confident in my pending purchase knowing that I’ve had such a well-qualified inspector take a look at the property.

“Chris inspected my 2 bed/2bath condo. The following was thoroughly inspected: HVAC, hot water, electrical, window, roof, washer and dryer.
This is my first time using Angie’s List, and I have to say it paid off nicely. Based on the good reviews I decided to go with Chris, and I’m glad I did. He was able to find things I would have over looked.
My biggest concern I had was the HVAC system, and if it was operating properly. He discovered that it was not cooling enough by using a handheld laser temperature sensor. The next thing he discovered that the drain in the Jacuzzi was leaking, by taking apart a maintenance panel and looking in behind the tiled wall. One of the windows didn’t operate correctly. We then went up to the roof to inspect the condenser, and the roof. Chris then explained the things that might need replacing in the future. At the end of the inspection, he explained the list of issues and emailed a thorough report the same day. I would highly recommend that you use Chris for your next Home Inspection. I know I will use him again for my next home inspection.”
